Yaniv Peretz

Instructor

Yaniv Peretz is a founder of Lorin Pte Ltd and a Board Director of the Counter Terrorism Certification Board. He is a highly skilled security professional with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Yaniv served in the Golani Brigade as part of the Israeli forces during the pullout from Lebanon and later worked as a security attaché in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, being deployed to various embassies around the world, including in Singapore, Latvia, Spain, and Jordan.

His extensive experience includes serving as Head of Security for Oerlikon in the APAC region, based in Shanghai, as well as in the USA, based in New York. Within this role, he was responsible for company security, fraud investigations, and export control. Yaniv founded Lorin, a company specializing in physical security design, which has been operational for over 15 years. Notably, he took a leading role in counter-terrorism consultation for an installation that was attacked by the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist group in Mumbai in 2008.

For over 15 years, Yaniv has served as a security advisor for the Jewish community in Singapore. He is also the founder of the Counter Terrorism Certification Board, leading the design and implementation of certification programs such as the Certified Counter Terrorism Practitioner (CCTP) and Certified Physical Security Consultant (CPSC), which provide demonstrable proof of knowledge and expertise in terrorism prevention.
Yaniv has designed various security training programs and is a trainer for the Counter Terrorism Practitioner (CCTP) program. In the last five years, he has focused on security technology design and digital transformation, consulting and reviewing hundreds of commercial, residential, and industrial sites. He has also designed and implemented numerous command centers as part of the managed security and operations services concept. Significant projects include Jem Mall, Compass Heights, Bukit Timah Plaza, and Eco-Tech@Sunview.
In 2018, Yaniv was appointed by ONESTOP SECURITY PLATFORM as the lead security consultant for outcome-based contracts and projects, pioneering digital transformation in the security industry. His consulting projects have received special recognition from various government ministries and have won several awards. 

Most notably, his work with the Singapore Stock Exchange led to Lorin being chosen as the security consultancy firm for a project that won three awards: the Industry Digital Plan Award, Video Analytics Implementation Award, and Job Redesign Award.
Mr. Peretz is frequently invited as a speaker at various security conferences, universities, and events. He is regularly interviewed as a subject matter expert on digital transformation, security, and terrorism by newspapers and television media. Yaniv is also the author and editor of "THE COMPLETE COUNTER TERRORISM GUIDE" and holds certifications as a Physical Security Consultant (CPSC) and Certified Counter Terrorism Practitioner (CCTP). Additionally, he is listed as a Security Consultant that meets the General Competence Requirement for Competent Persons by the Ministry of Home Affairs .
